Are you thinking about your future health?

You may be:

✓ Wanting to remain active and independent as you age

✓ Concerned about memory or cognitive decline

✓ Looking to maintain muscle mass and strength

✓ Interested in reducing your future risk of chronic disease

✓ Uncertain what nutrition advice to follow

✓ Finding it harder to maintain energy levels

✓ Looking to age as well as possible, not simply live longer

✓ Wanting practical changes that fit your lifestyle

Healthy aging is about putting the foundations in place today that support better health tomorrow. Every single thing you do can move the lever slightly in a slightly better direction to improve healthspan, strength, independence and quality of life.

Why healthy aging starts now.

Many of the changes associated with aging begin years before we notice them.

Starting in our 40s, muscle mass naturally declines, bone density can reduce, and the risk of common health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and cognitive decline increases.

The good news is that most doctors say that the Rolls Royce treatment for all of these conditions is diet and lifestyle.

While we cannot stop aging, we can influence how well we age.

How I Can Help.

Understand Your Current Health

Review your health history, lifestyle, blood test results and, where appropriate, body composition data to identify areas to focus on.

Prioritise What Matters Most

There is no shortage of nutrition advice. Together we focus on the changes most likely to benefit your health, strength, cognitive function and long-term wellbeing.

Create Sustainable Habits

Healthy aging is never achieved through short-term diets. The goal is to build simple habits that support your health for years to come.

Looking beyond weight

While many people focus on weight alone, healthy aging is about much more than the number on the scales. Scales are distraction from health. I like to focus on muscle mass, bone health, metabolic health, energy, blood sugars, heart health, brain health and quality of life. Once these are addressed, the weight follows. The goal is to be health, capable and independent for longer.

Frequently asked questions.

Question 1.

Is this only for older adults? No. Many clients start thinking proactively about healthy aging in their 40s and 50s.

Can nutrition really influence brain health? Nutrition is one of several lifestyle factors that can support cognitive health and healthy ageing. Your brain is largely made of fat and it is important to eat healthy fats to support the brain.

Do I need blood tests? Not necessarily, although blood test information can often provide useful insights.

Do I need a DEXA scan? No. DEXA scans are optional, although they can provide valuable information about muscle mass, body fat and bone density.

Can consultations be done online? Yes. Consultations are available online and in person. Ideally your first consultation is face to face. Please contact me to discuss options if mobility is an issue.

How many sessions will I need? This varies depending on your goals and the level of support you would like.
